Adrian
Adrian has spanned two very different industries over his career --- commercial nuclear power and information technology. The nuclear years (17+) were primarily involved in operations, training and outage management while tending towards computer solutions of many plant functions towards the end. A career change was made in 1998 to join the ranks of information technology professionals. Adrian hosts a variety of Internet web sites, has worked within a data center as operations support and built/managed internet/intranet development teams, quality assurance teams and multi-tiered, high-scaled business solutions for Thomson/Dialog. Much of the Thomson experience resulted creating a project management style to span multiple teams, locations and companies. At Kaplan, the lessons learned at Thomson were utilized to build a project management office. Collaborative processes and meetings were established across the business spectrum to bring clarity to operating metrics. While at ASUG, key initiatives driven include email campaign management, social networking solutions (Jive, taxonomies) and, yet again, project management processes and execution.
Goal: Establish situations which result in scaled, effective and efficient responses from I/T departments and solutions that meet business goals and objectives.
